I’m so excited to share this steaming-hot giveaway with you today! I’ve told you before how cleaning the hard floor surfaces in my house is my most dreaded chore. I’d honestly rather clean the toilets than clean the floors.

I’ve tried just about everything you can think of…The Floormate spin-scrub thingy, the Swiffer Wet-Jet thingy, the hands-and-knees with a bucket thingy and, most frequently, the vacuum then wet-mop thingy.

So when Black and Decker contacted me about trying out their new Steam Mop, I was all over it!

My hardwood floors are particularly dirty these days…mostly because this big fella leaves behind lots of dirty paw-prints. At least I can get the people-boys to leave their dirty shoes at the door, but dogs don’t wear shoes, ya know?

Well, my floor cleaning life has changed, my people! I’m totally in love with the Black & Decker Steam-Mop! When it arrived, I had it out of the box and ready to go in 2 minutes flat.

I’m not a germ-a-phobe, but I do love how easy it is to kill 99% of germs with just water. No chemicals! Since my dog (and occasionally my boys) lick the floors (eeeeeewwww!), I like to keep the chemicals to a minimum.

And I love that this mop has different heat settings for different types of floors. The Smart-Select Dial automatically releases the right amount of steam for your floor type. I like not worrying that I’m going to damage my hardwoods by using the same amount of steam I would use on my ceramic tile.

And this baby can steam! It got all the gak and muddy paw prints off my floors without heavy-duty scrubbing. And the floors dry so quickly that I never have to scream “wet floors!!!” when my boys come running in the room. I seriously couldn’t get a picture of the wet floors because they dry so fast.
